So, how do you turn that cost into a benefit? What are the best ways to tell others? How do you market your new, certified, management system?
Display the certificate: Most organizations know to hang their certificate in the reception area or add it to their signage on the building. However, an underused and powerful strategy is to exhibit the certification mark on uniforms, exhibition stands or your corporate vehicles. You can encourage your sales staff to carry the certificate in their portfolio and add the logo to their name badges.
Your Standard Verification Everywhere:
- Offline. Put it on ALL printed materials such as letterheads , stationary, business cards, flyers, handouts and other literature.
- Online: Again - use our badge verification system and put it on ALL online pages, posts, blogs and social media. On your website, put it in the footer that displays on every page. Any online ads you run should have it included. Be sure you use it correctly. For example:
- Use the complete name of your certification, such as ISO 9001:2015 (our badge verification system includes it)
- Be clear that the certification applies to your business management system, NOT your products unless they have been specifically certified.
- Do not claim certification for any part of your business system or products outside the scope of your actual certification.
Press release: Look for opportunities to communicate the benefits or improvements that have resulted in adopting a certified management system. This help promote your business to the market and reinforces the decision upper management took to embark on the certification project. For example, if a group experienced a drastic reduction in scrap that positively affected the bottom line, send out a press release, Be sure to acknowledge the role the management system played in the improved profitability.
Word of mouth: Be sure the entire organization understands the marketing benefits of the certificate and tell others.
