What is QS-9000:1998?
QS-9000:1998 is a quality management system based on 1994
revisions of ISO 9000. It is specifically designed for automotive
suppliers and is a requirement to supply General Motors,
Ford and Daimler Chrysler. This standard is set to expire
on December 15, 2006. Upon expiration, QS-9000:1998 registered
companies may be required to upgrade to either ISO/TS 16949:2002
or ISO 9001:2000.
