| ISO 14001:2004 What is ISO
14001?
Organizations of all kinds are increasingly concerned with
controlling the impacts of their products and services on
the environment. The ISO 14001 standard is primarily concerned
with "environmental management". This means what the organization
does to:
i. minimize harmful effects on the
environment caused by its activities, and to
ii. achieve continual improvement
of its environmental performance.
This standard is intended to provide organizations with
the elements of an effective environmental management system
that can be integrated with other management requirements
and help an organization achieve environmental and economic
goals.
