Reminder – Dec 31, 2017 Begin Using New ANAB Logo

Written by ASR Editor on . Posted in ASR News & Press Releases

September 2016

As if you don't have enough "transition issues" to think about, just a quick reminder that certified organizations using ASR's logo and the ANAB logo on their respective letterhead, marketing materials, and electronic media/websites need to replace the ANAB logo by December 31, 2017. Use of the ANAB logo and the ASR logo is optional.

ASR's July 2015 newsletter explained that ANAB (ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board) provides accreditation services for three different brands resulting in logo confusion. ANAB adopted one logo to end the confusion. However, ANAB's new logo means clients who use the logo need to begin using it by Dec. 31, 2017 if they are not already doing so.

As ASR clients (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, AS 9100) recertified after September 15, 2015, the new ANAB logo appeared on their certificate.

The new ISO 9001:2015 standard was published on September 15, 2015 (available 9/23/2015)

American Systems Registrar (ASR) plans to begin conducting audits to ISO 9001:2015 in January of 2016.

New ANAB Logo Usage

Written by ASR Editor on . Posted in ASR News & Press Releases

To: ASR Clients

Dear Client:

Effective January 1, 2016 ASR Clients using ASR’s logo and the ANAB logo on their respective stationery, marketing materials, and electronic media/websites will need to replace the ANAB logo. This change must be completed by December 31, 2017. Use of the ANAB logo and the ASR logo is optional.

ANAB (ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board) provides accreditation services for three different brands and through the years has resulted in logo confusion. ANAB says adopting one logo should correct the issues.

ASR will start using the new ANAB logo on all new and re-certification certificates dated September 1, 2015 and later for all our clients with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and AS9120 certifications.

An electronic copy of ANAB’s logo will accompany the new certificate with instructions on the appropriate use of the logo in an organization’s marketing material. As part of future surveillance audits, auditors will review a client’s marketing material/website to ensure proper use of the logo.

If an organization decides to use ANAB’s and ASR’s logos, both symbols must appear together on marketing material/websites. The ANAB logo must be placed next to ASR’s logo and must be smaller than ASR’s logo.

Neither logo can be used on any product or used in such a way as to suggest ASR and/or ANAB have certified or approved any product, process, or service of a certified organization.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Kind Regards,

Richelle L. Kinzie - President

Written by ASR Editor on . Posted in ASR News & Press Releases

WYOMING, Mich. – November 11, 2013 – American Systems Registrar today announced an agreement with Online Standards Training effective immediately.

On-demand online learning in the workplace is the perfect tool for addressing the needs of a variety of learners across generations. Investing in online learning options for workers is a cost-effective way for companies to retain top employees and meet individual training needs at the same time.

Over time, we have found these to be true:

  • Conformance is improved when more people understand ISO Standards and the fundamentals of a Quality Management System.
  • Having a trained Internal Auditor improves conformance to quality standards and reduces Corrective Action Reports.

ASR Logo smallASR Worldwide and OnlineStandardsTraining.com reached an agreement to provide their training courses at a steep 50% discount.

2011 Review

2011 was a year of growth for ASR! We added over 100 new clients in North America and another 200+ Internationally.
Our North American family has grown to 500+ clients with 600+ certifications. Worldwide we have over 1700 certifications. You can view your certification status at www.iaar.org.

Our talented pool of auditors changed during 2011. Several auditors experienced health issues and reduced their audit
days. Two auditors took positions in industry and one auditor died unexpectedly. We added 5 new auditors in North America and over 10 Internationally. We are continuing to look for competent auditors for all standards and this is one of our top goals as we head into 2012! Kudos to our current staff of auditors for stepping up to the plate to ensure all our clients were taken care of in 2011. Auditors worked Saturdays, gave up vacation days, and are working during Christmas and New Years to make sure the audits get done. We really appreciate all their extra auditing efforts!

Thanks to you, our clients, for all your help and patience in 2011! In the true spirit of partnership, you worked with us to reschedule audits so other clients could be accommodated. You held our feet to the fire when audit schedules were
delayed or audit reports were not timely, but you also told us when we exceeded your expectations! IT'S ALL ABOUT
IMPROVEMENT!
